Look closely. Lucky Star, Blue Fairy's friend, carries a star wand with long wooden pole/handle. When Pinocchio lies to the Blue Fairy, Lucky Star stands behind Pinocchio and places pole on his shoulder. Another cast member uses a slide whistle to make "growing" sound. It's simple, easy, and works like a charm!

ArtReach's Touring Version of Pinocchio incorporates clever staging and audience participation! A great play for touring to schools or performing on the mainstage! Audience Participation! Pinocchio tangles with tricksters, Fox and Cat, and Lampwick and his no-good buddies in the Land of Toys. Will he save Geppetto from the belly of the whale? Will he ever prove that he is good enough to become a Real Boy? Producers, here is a great play for touring to local schools! Creative staging, innovative ideas, minimal set and costumes make this adaptation easy to stage and stunningly unique! Audience Participation: Children become toys and clocks in Geppetto's shop, sing a lullaby to Pinocchio, help Hickory Cricket save Pinocchio and make the sounds and jaws of the Great and Terrible Whale!

"Probably
the most exciting thing is that the style of this piece involves the
audience to participate in certain moments - to engage actively in
the make-believe that's being created.
